As usual, I didn't make up my bed this morning but I thought these colors looked so pretty that I had to take a pic. I never would have noticed these together if I'd made my bed.
It is a homemade quilt that either my Ma-Ma Lee made or her mother, Grandma Pierce, made. I've had it since I was very young. It's real thick and heavy. I have a hard time sleeping without it. Until a few years ago it was always on my bed. But now it is falling apart and I can hardly ever use it. I usually only get it out when it is very cold. This night in the picture had been freakishly cool after a storm so I pulled it out to put on the bed.
Click on the pic to see a large view. The purple and tuquoise paisley was a dress of Momma's. When I was a little girl we used to sit on the bed and she'd show me which pieces were her's and Cynthia's dresses and which were Houston's shirts. All I can remember now was that paisley bit.

That is a pretty grouping of colors. Is that a quilt that Grandmother made? I can not tell if it is a homemade quilt or not from the pic.
