Keeping with my goal

So, it's only been a little over a month since my last post - I'm not that much off schedule. My birthday and the two days after were spent in Atlanta watching the Red Sox! The first night there we met J.D. Drew's parents. Great folks. But the Sox lost! Where is the love on my b'day? We soundly won the next two nights, much to my joy.

To fill our days while in Atlanta we went to the High Museum to see the Annie Liebovitz exhibit. Fantastic! Beautiful! Highly recommend. And shopped. But not at malls. We went to Little Five Points to relive our college days. I say "we" meaning my brother, Eric, and me, dragging two of my co-workers along. The co-workers (who are the only other Sox fans we know, hence the foursome trip to ATL for the series) didn't really appreciate Little 5. It might have had something to do with the stores not opening until noon or 12:30 - we got there shortly after 11:00am and had to walk from one closed shop to the next. Also, they aren't fans of tattoo shops, or vintage clothing shops, or head shops, so there wasn't much for them. We went on to Virginia Highlands. There they seemed to find a little more that they liked. The used bookstore that Eric and I dragged them into wasn't a big hit, though. I must admit I wasn't very impressed with it, either. Poor selection and it smelled like cat pee. But we weren't in Atlanta to shop, only to see the Red Sox, so the poor shopping wasn't a deterent to our good times.
Three downers of the trip:
1. Sox lost first night.
2. I got distracted and didn't get everything out of my hotel room when we left. I've lost my favorite pajamas.
3. It took us over 6 hours to drive home!!!! Three + hours from ATL to the SC line!!
Still, I had a great time.

Wow!

The Billy Graham Library was dedicated May 31. These are only a few of the photos I took that day.
