Yes it is a bass!

This is a cake at a Piggly Wiggly. Luckily, it is a plastic bass. I'd hate to think of combining the taste of birthday cake with bass.

It s a gator!

A Fine Fall Evening

Strange weather in the Southeast today. Driving to work this morning the Morning Edition host on my favorite public radio station ( also happens to be the station where I work but that doesn't keep me from enjoying the station) announced it was 70 degrees. A bit off for December 1, even in the South. Less than a half hour after I arrived at work a downpour was released from the heavens. So glad I was already in the office since I never seem to have an umbrella when needed. The rain clouds were quickly blown away by some rather fierce winds. Said winds did me a favor at home - a large (could have been a medium sized tree itself), dead branch crashed to the ground sometime today. The branch has been worrying me for months; probably since I bought my new Civic in July. I've been very concerned that it would fall on the new car. In August, I asked my landlady to have it removed. I guess her procrastination has paid off for her - she won't have to pay anyone to cut it down. Lucky girl!
It is still windy here. I think this is blowing in winter. I hope so, since it is my favorite season. I haven't been able to wear my new parrot green down vest yet, or any of my scarves either! Such a shame. Plus, it is hard for me to shop for Christmas presents if I could comfortably be wearing a T-shirt and flip-flops.
